Redditch-based AMCO has added 12 Mercedes Actros trucks in a £2 million fleet investment, taking its total fleet to 73 vehicles and 95 trailers.
The supply chain specialist said the new trucks will support continued growth across its contract transport operations, which serve blue-chip customers including high street names and automotive brands.
The new trucks were supplied by Midland Truck & Van, winner of the Mercedes Benz Truck Dealer of the Year 2025.
AMCO’s fleet director Mark Jones said: “As business grows and compliance becomes increasingly rigorous; a modern fleet is essential to serve customers and keep our drivers safe and comfortable. This investment is part of our commitment to that: the new trucks feature quilted leather seats, a luxury bed with mattress topper and under bunk fridge. They were specifically designed and prepared for our drivers who work around the clock on our blue-chip partner contracts.”
The vehicles are fully compliant with all UK ULEZ areas and are fitted with the Progress safe system, a radar-enabled pedestrian warning system, along with a nearside camera and audible warning.
Mirrorless Smart MirrorCam technology replaces traditional mirrors to improve aerodynamics and enable operation within London’s Direct Vision Standard zone.

The Actros trucks are equipped with a multimedia cockpit and Active Brake Assist. AMCO said intelligent GPS driver programmes also help reduce fuel consumption.
The business is one of 136 UK operators accredited under the DVSA’s Earned Recognition Scheme, having met strict compliance criteria over a two-year period.
