The Amco business has traditionally been involved, as a 3PL, in international supply chain management and logistics.
Close relationships with customers and our growing reputation as problem solvers has led the business to develop added value services to include packaging supply.
Logistics customers were asking Amco how best to satisfy their supply chain end-to-end needs – transport, shipping, warehousing and packaging. There was a clearly defined need for us to manage the whole supply chain under one agreement and with one team. This offers synergy, flexibility and better communications, reduced investment, and financial commitment and in turn, improved supply chain performance.
For over 35 years Amco has handled the majority of packaging in our role in transport, shipping and warehousing. Packaging is certainly no stranger to us.
The demands from our customers became the driver for us to look to fill a market gap and our specialist packing division was created to fulfil that need.
Our Services Beyond Packing
We are able to offer bespoke solutions and as well as supply, we can recycle existing packaging, repair and rework existing packaging and we offer a strip down and repack service.
We can provide: all types of cardboard packaging including, folding cartons, rigid (set up boxes), and corrugated boxes, including single, double wall and tri-wall.
We can manufacture and supply standard and custom designed pallets in a range of materials including: Wooden, Presswood and plywood two-way and four-way pallets, open and closed, wing and reversible pallets. We can supply metal pallets in steel or aluminium for air or sea freight, at sea storage or longer term outdoor storage. These types of pallets are also preferred in the Food and Catering industries because of their ability to be easily sanitised.
Plastic pallets are excellent for stability and longevity in terms of reuse and recycling having non-slip surfaces, high loading capacity and low weight. We can source, manufacture and supply metal, wood and plastic containers and boxes including stillages, KLT’s (Small plastic boxes) FLS’s and Folding Large Containers, cages, roll cages and stock trolleys.
Our packaging team can source and supply Vacuum formed trays in virgin and recycled PP (Polypropylene) to HDPE (High-density polyethylene) as well as dunnage and packaging inserts.
A Centre of Exellence in Packing
Here we able to source, bespoke manufacture, supply and fulfil packing solutions from standard plastic packaging to bespoke metal stillages and roll cages, corrugated standard and bespoke lineside delivery and export boxes and for example: sub assembly of customers packaging components into a consignment box for shipping.
